I do hope that with your arts policy you will get rid of the horrible word

In addition to Vanessa’s points (well made - especially old buildings - English Heritage needs more funding to help protect these things, along with a major overhaul of its atrotious organisational structure), how about a truly radical move — keep politicians out of the decisions of what art and heritage projects to fund, just set aside a decent amount of money, and allow an independent panel of experts to portion it out. —- Oh, and scrap all VAT on museums, galleries, arts centres and the rest, there’s a good chap…
